Win a set of Tintin mugs from Casterman

Casterman are running a simple competition on their web site (in French), to win a set of three special Tintin-themed mugs. Closes at the end of October 2009.

Alternatively, the mugs are apparently being given away at participating stores, one with the purchase of two albums, presumably where Casterman books are sold (e.g. France and Belgium?).

No - why would you think that? Just imagine for a second you are the official publisher of the series, running a competition. For prizes do you a) offer a set of legitimate mugs through official channels; b) go to eBay and look for some cheap pirate knock-offs?
You can actually see the mugs from this promotion on their website, if you click on the link above; I wouldnâ€™t have put the link in if the prizes werenâ€™t all above board.
