R.I.P. Willy Rizzo: Model for "Paris-Flash" photographer

#1 · Posted: 26 Feb 2013 15:45
It has been reported that celebrated photgrapher Willy Rizzo has died at the age of 84.

A prominent press photographer, who took pictures at the Nuremberg Trials as well as for magazines such as Marie Claire, it was his work for Paris-Match (for which he took the picture for their first cover) which led to him being immortalized by Hergé as Paris-Flash magazine's "celebrity snapper" Walter Rizotto ("Marco Rizotto" in English).

An obituary in English can be found* here (including a nice anecdote about his becoming a film-star...!)
* Sadly now behind a paywall...
