Lake of Sharks: Which came first, movie or book?

Hi. I own the movie Tintin and the Lake of Sharks on DVD. I've also read (but don't own) the book.

I think the movie is pretty good, but the book is kinda lame.

My question is, which one came first, the movie or the book?

I think the movie came first, but I'm not sure.

The movie came first but the book came out soon after. I'm the other way around. I find the book mediocre and the movie terrible.
