What do you know about "Les Amis de Hergé" ?

What I do understand is that Les Amis de Hergé is a French-language non-profit organisation of Tintinophiles, Hergéian scholars and the like. One member was the late Philippe Goddin.

According to their website, this organisation was founded in 1985 by a handful of enthusiasts, and is now – so they say – the oldest and largest Tintin fan association globally with nearly 1,400 members in 22 countries worldwide. It is currently chaired by Jean Rime. I think Philippe Goddin may have chaired it before his passing.

Members receive their published biannual 60 pgs magazines that cannot be acquired anywhere else (except sometimes on eBay, for example, at premium prices).

Is anyone here a member?

What events do they organise? Have you ever been to one of their events?

I'm in Australia, so wouldn't be able to make their annual gatherings.

Do they ever publish anything in English? Are they many English speaking members? Do they accept in articles written in English?

Unfortunately my school-boy French is a bit rusty. I can get by but with difficulty sometimes. As they say – if you don't use it, you lose it!
