Abdullah: Source of Tintin's intolerance of him?

It's all about degrees as far as I can see.

As has been mentioned before, in Chang and Zorrino there are some quite heroic children.

Then there are the cheeky or mischievous children, into which the Quick and Flupke cameo goes and, more annoying or not, Abdullah fits.
But as well as showing the dislike, annoyance, and even hatred Abdullah can evoke, even Haddock's heart melts when he shows small (deceptive) acts of kindness.

So it I would say this shows how Hergé has both views of children and even both views of Abdullah, we can accept he's a brat and a troublemaker, but like the adult characters in Tintin there are good and bad, and Abdullah is far from the worst - if also equally far from the best!
