Destination Moon: Sprodj Plant and Oak Ridge's X-10 Similar?

Hi folks! Some interesting similarities here between the fictional Sprodj plant in "Destination Moon" and my home city's Manhattan Project-era plants and reactors, specifically X-10 and the Graphite Reactor.

Just something neat. I've been to both numerous times (they're open for tours now, newer facilities are in place,) and the similarities are amazing.

Indeed, the general view of the plant seen in Explorers on the Moon (p.1) looks very much like

Thanks Yamilah! I used to wonder if I really lived in Sprodj as a little girl because of those similarities to places I knew well :) It brings back good memories.
