Hey, calculite back! Time for our second Burst of Creativity, but we'll change it up a little. To see the previous review, click here.

Okay, the next book is The Castafiore Emerald, a fairly easy story for the challenge. Your goal is to review the book, but include at least 3 references to other books. Hats off to whoever can get more!

The rules? You can't say something like, "Captain Haddock, who's in this story, is in Flight 714." The only exception is if the character or thing in question doesn't appear throughout the story very often.

Please respond whether you would like the original challenge for the rest of the books, or to change the challenge each time. I hope to see great answers!

Moderator Note: Tradition dictates that if you start a thread like this, the initiator should give an example, or submit their own review, if only to show why it is so much fun: if you want others to participate, you have to participate yourself!

In this case, while the challenge of doing a capsule review in a maximum number of words was self-evident, there is no immediate incentive to include other books in a review, let alone having to include three. A demonstration is pretty much required to show how (or indeed why) it should be done.
