On the first frame of page 58 in the revised version of Cigars of the Pharaoh, Tintin is shown unmasked along with six members of the opium smuggling ring. Tintin is wearing the robes of the seventh member, but we never see that member's face. Where (and who) is he (or she)?

We never get to find that out. Some possible candidates are Dr. Finney (who was in on the conspiracy), the Reverend Peacock and Rastapopoulos himself.

Interesting side note: there are 8 members of the brotherhood in the black and white edition. The "7th" member unmasked is an unidentified character with a hat and again we don't get to discover the identity of the 8th member assumed by Tintin.

Interesting ! In the French edition, his letter was "re-written" by the fakir. See for example frame 12, page 44:
"Allo...Oui,chef, une lettre que j'ai remplacée en imitant l'écriture du docteur..Elle disait que c'était lui même qui était fou et..."
What do you have in the English edition ?

Chevet,

In English we have;

"Hello... yes boss. I copied the doctors writing and substituted another letter... It made out that Tintin himself was mad, not the others, and..."

It trails off at that point.

Cheers,

Dr. Finney (...), his letter was "re-written" by the fakir.

Good point, thanks for correcting me!
