Ranko, would it be possible for you to make your question more specific? Given the recent shennanigans in the quiz due to uncertainty over terms, it might avoid any unintended unpleasantness if you were to re-state it.

No problem. It didn't sound too unambiguous when I posed it. However, Rik proved me wrong! Indeed he can have a bonus point for a tecnically correct answer.

Ok, let's re-phrase:

What specific item connects the above characters? Zorrino nearly always has it, Calculus appears with it briefly and Abdullah makes Snowy cry with it.

Is it that red hat that Calculus can be seen in the last frame of Prisoners of the Sun?

Snowy is wearing it in Red Sea Sharks and crying

Zorrino almost always wears it, and I assume Abdullah can be seen in it somewhere as well

It is indeed the red hat that connects them all. We see Zorrino wearing it most of the time in Prisoners. Calculus also appears in this hat on the very last page.
On Pg4 of Red Sea Sharks Tintin and The Captain are met at the doors of Marlinspike by a crying Snowing dressed in a sheet and... the red hat. On the very next page we discover who dressed Snowy like that - Abdullah.

Well spotted. Have a point and over to you for the next question.
