I'm after two answers here, both are very similar to each other - so if you're answers aren't close, then you're wrong. Both are different forms of "head wear." Hope you enjoy. Should be easy. :) Need the book and scene for each answer, also. :)

Sorry. Both incorrect, but i like your quick answer. :)

I got it! Fruits.

1. Jump, Thump, Splat: Captain Haddock tried to jump over a long table and eventually crashed on the tip of the table and an orange splatted on Haddock's face in Prisoners Of The Sun.

2. Snakes and Quakes: Snowy was hit by a date brunch and it landed on Snowy's head in Tintin and Land of Black Gold.

Here I go:

1. Jump, Thump, Splat! What's my hat? - Prisoners of the Sun, 54

2. Snakes & Quakes. This one aches! - The Shooting Star, 56

Close, but no cigar.

Answer was fruit - a peach and an apple.

As tintinspartan worked out #1, it was indeed

1. Jump, Thump, Splat: Captain Haddock tried to jump over a long table and eventually crashed on the tip of the table and an orange splatted on Haddock's face in Prisoners Of The Sun.

#2 was the shooting star where Tintin gets hit on the top of the head by an apple. The Snakes and Quakes part is that it's taking part in an earthquake and Tintin says, just prior to the getting hit "Great snakes! another earth-quake!"

Nice stuff. Point to alvarino and the next turn.
