Tintin: Best European country to find collectibles?

Hi, I have moved from New York City to Geneva, Switzerland and I have been seeking out Tintin collectibles (objects, toys, art, etc.). I have been fairly successful in finding Tintin items at the Plainpalais Fleamarkt in Geneva, but not that often. The comic shops in Switzerland are also pretty expensive, especially when it comes to Tintin.

Does anyone recommend any other European countries to find Tintin collectibles at good prices? Belgium? France? I would appreciate particular cities, names of comic stores, or names of fleamarkets if possible. Or does anyone know of any European comic book conventions which exist at a certain time of year? All help is greatly appreciated.

Well, Brussels have a good number of Tintin Exhibitions going on.
France is also a good place as Tintin's popular there.
Collectibles-wise, I live in Singapore and here they don't usually sell Tintin stuff.
Only Tintin things I get here are Tintin VCDs, Tintin Et Moi, Tintin Flims Compilation DVD, Tintin Books, Tintin Ellipse-Nelvana 75th Anniversary Compilation and rare Tintin posters. Pity my country can't offer Tintin shops - I wish to open one here, in Singapore.

That's not a bad selection. The London shop offers all those things (Not VCD's though. VCD generally means pirated in my book) with the addition of miscellanaous items such as t-shirts, figurines etc.
You've just answered your own question on why there is no Tintin shop in Singapore. No need.
I must say, I do like the cable car ride to Sentosa Island (Is it still there?)

Well, currently, the interior Sentosa monorail has been scraped and replaced by a high-tech monorail line that runs from Vivocity to Beach Station. I;ve rode it myself and it's a good line. Well, the cable cars are still there and if you are coming to visit Singapore, drop me an e-mail and I'll be your guide here.

Lucky you in Europe or even S'pore, still can manage to get the original Tintin stuffs. We, in Indonesia, hardly can find those things. We have to ask friends [from a mailing list of Indonesian's fans] to buy when they travel or return to Indonesia from abroad. In Jakarta, only Int'l chains bookstores sell the English text of Tintins and quite expensive. The Indonesian versions are no longer published.

I am sure the best European country to find lots of Tintin collectibles has to be Belgium.
