Somebody shoots the other one and then the other one (who is shot) thanks the shooter (for doing it).

Where is this scene? Give the album, pagenumbers and a short explanation.

In Blue Lotus, page 10, Tintin was shot by Wang Chen-yee's son, Didi.
On page 12 Tintin says: "That shot... it was providential!" and on page 17 he says: "I owe him my life."

Would this gratitude be the answer you are looking for?

A nice shot Alvarolino, really good answer. Tintin is grateful but where is the actual "thank you" as the title refers and where is the shooter. (I thank you Didi?) I have to reject your answer and it makes me so sad, buhuhuhuu :(

Now I have to pull myself together. Hey the Q is still unanswered. :)

A clue time, I didn't tell the whole truth at first.

This is how it goes:

A shoots B. (A hits B)
B thanks A, because A's doings (shooting and 5 other things) help B.

B is so grateful that B thanks and hugs (maybe kisses) A.

Where is this scene? Give the album, pagenumbers and a short explanation.

This sounds to me like the scene in Destination Moon (pg47-50) where Haddock is attempting to cure Calculus of his amnesia by:
a) Appearing as a guard on horseback
b) Using a fake camera with a snake that went PHHHHT! (I love that scene!)
c) Shooting him with a water pistol
d) Planting a thunderflash under his chair
e) Dressing up as a ghost... and finally, using the term "acting the goat" which snaps the professor out of it, prompting him on pg50 to thank (and I think kiss) the Captain.

(Thanks for the post about those places in Finland, tuhatkauno. I'll check them out in detail later.)

This must be your lucky weekend Ranko, first the blues won and now this, you solved the Q. Sir Alex has to eat the haggis by himself, but he must like it.

A point and the turn to Ranko.
