I was in the Tintin Shop in Covent Garden yesterday with my girlfriend, and I noticed small hardback Tintin books just single stories, which had The Broken Ear. I never knew Tintin books had been brought out like that. (No, I'm not talking about the 3-in-1 books, read my post again)

I think this post was strongly ignored - has anyone seen these, and are they available in English?

I don't think it was ignored, so much as nobody had anything to say.

For a start, you didn't mention until you decided to update the message, that the books weren't in English when you saw them, given how you talk about The Broken Ear rather than L'oreille casée.

So, now, with that info, I'm guessing the books you are talking about are the recent French mini-albums, which have the individual books at the size (or approximating to it) of the 3-in-1 series.

These came out last year, at around the same time as the book collecting the newspaper strip version of Unicorn, and the book on the Tintin magazine, and, as with these they are not available in English.

Don't know if they are out in any other language.
