In Destination moon, calculus has created a new substance from silicon, which he has named it after himself "calculon". But Calculus has a different name in the french versions and surely the name of that new compound will be differing too so what is it called in french?

Also tell me what the inventions of Calculus which are named after him, such as the "super calcacolor"(Castafiore Emerald) called.

"Calculon is called "Tournesolite" and the "super calcacolor" is called "le supercolor-Tryphonar"

They are called this because in the french editions calculus is called Tryphon Tournesol. Tournesol means sunflower in french, which expains his interest in flowers.

I think that calling him "sunflower" is sort of a pun too, because he is so short, and a sunflower grows to be very tall.

Calculus is Teophilus Tuhatkauno in Finnish and therefore calculon is teophiliitti and super calcacolor is supercolor-teophon in Finnish editions.

I do basically have the whole collection, with 21 color albums, facsimile Soviets and Congo and facsimile America and Cigars. I do not have Congo in color or Alph-art though. (I hope to change that soon) but, if you need me to check something in any of the books aside from Alph-art, just let me know, because I would be glad to be of service.

Just something you might be interested in: Calculus' name in the original French is "Tournesol" which means sunflower and he claimed to be the inventor of products based on sunflower oil.

In the 1970s and 80s, he starred in a series of French television cartoon commercials for Fruit d'or products which included cooking oil and mayonnaise made from sunflower oil. He claimed to have invented them and would float up into the air to show how they kept a good healthy balance.
