We all know Hergé used to draw himself, Germaine and the crew into the books. So, in Tintin in Tibet p. 3 frame 7, isn't it Fanny Vlamynck, the then new woman in Hergé’s life?

I'm not so sure, Etterbeek. It does looks a bit like her. But would Hergé really have portrayed the new love of his life having a hotel breakfast with a man who looks nothing like him?

I wouldn't know if it was her because I have actually never seen her picture. But, I agree with Balthazar that it is unlikely to be her since she is seated with a man who looks nothing like Hergé.

I think it's a tongue-in-cheek thing, since he was still married to Germaine at the time. OK, so he and Fanny started their relationship in '56 and Tibet was drawn in '58, but I think it was still risky to draw Fanny AND himself at that time...
I don't know, I just stumbled across that frame after reading Peeters and seeing pictures of Fanny. I thought the resemblance was striking.
