Land of the Soviets: misprinted cover, it's upside down!

Has anyone seen this particular misprint before? I just purchased a hardbound copy of "Tintin in the Land of the Soviets" from a shop in Brussels and found, to my great surprise, that the pages inside were bound upside down. I could rip out the pages and correct them, but I think it might be more fun to have people think I'm trying to read Tintin upside down.

I haven't seen it before. Sounds interesting. If you're fine with it being upside down for the novelty, I say keep it.

Believe me, it is not the first time such a thing has happened. I picked up a comic book in a shop in Paris (Michel Vaillant, a popular series set in the world of motor racing which was also published in Tintin magazine) and the pages were also upside down.

Sounds like problems with the printing presses. I'd just take it back to the shop and get another copy or, if you no longer have the receipt, contact the publisher for an exchange of copies.

My copy of the B/W edition of Cigars of the Pharaoh has a picture of Tintin and Snowy on the title page, and Snowy is missing his nose!

Yeah, the same thing happened to me! I bought Volume 4 of Tintin's adventures and it was bound upside down. I thought it was kind of neat, people thought I was childish for reading a comic and insane for reading it upside down...

Maybe its worth something? Baseball card misprints are worth a lot...

Unfortunately that is rarely the case with a book. There’s an article here which suggests that misprinted/ incorrectly bound books are more likely to be considered defective, and this less desirable to collectors. You’d really need to find someone who thought that defective books were the bee’s knees…
…and if you do, let me know, as my copy of The Secret Ray has a whole bunch of pages in the introduction which are blank…!

Another misprint Tintin related book that I have is "The Pocket Essential Tintin" by Lofficier. The binding says
TINITN on it!
