While we're talking great Science fiction/fantasy writers, are there any fellow Terry Pratchett fans out there?
If anyone doesn't know, Part one of The Colour of Magic/Light Fantastic was on tonight (Easter Sunday) at 6pm on Sky One, and part two is on tomorrow.
(Sorry- I tried to post this earlier, but the computer froze, but if its like Hogfather last Christmas, it'll probably be repeated soon enough, possibly even this week.)
Terry is such a brilliant writer, and such a great bloke who appreciates his fans; whenever i've been to his signings he's tried to take the time to have a quick chat to each person.
It was sad to hear the news he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s last year, and my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family, but it's great to read that he wont take his 'embuggerance' lying down! The interviews he's done and what he's written about the situation he's in are all infused with the wit and humour readers of the Discworld know so well.
