Hi,
I am interested in collecting the die cast vehicle range. I am suspicious of the prices being quoted from the Far East. Is it possible to tell if the vehicle is a copy?

Hi Barney,
This may be of assistance. I have the complete collection of cars.
Not cheap mind you but worthwhile having.
I managed to get them by using my cousin in Belgium as he got them from ATLAS. http://www.aquitaine33.com/atlas/edition9.htm
Unfortunately they only supply to an address in Europe so he got one for himself and one for me that he send on to Australia.
It is a start as I don't know where you live, the rest is up to you.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I have looked on their site and will make contact with them.

I am looking forward to starting my collection. I only cam across them by accident searching for 1/43 scale cars and was impressed at the detail and of course the subject matter!

Kind Regards

Update:
Hi,

I live in the UK but have noticed several French/ Belgium sites which contain a lot of information on the subject.
I can imagine the whole set must have been quite expensive but I am sure worth it.

The site you mentioned is good for photos. I was hoping they still sell the vehicles but I can't find any reference to purchasing them on the site.

It would be good to be able to communicate with Atlas but they appear to be difficult to track down.

Kind Regards from a chilly UK!

Hi Barney,
Herewith the site I used to watch my Tintin cars collection to grow.

http://www.aquitaine33.com/atlas/index.htm this is the French site as you know however at the bottom of their home page is a button to click where you end up at the "Atlas" site http://www.editionsatlas.fr/

All our Tintin cars were posted from Switzerland,(Route des Dragons 7, CH-1033 Chesseau / Lausanne- Switzerland, tel 0800 780 70) and the email my cousin used to contact them whenever there was a question or a problem to resolve was : service.clintele@editionsatlas.ch

There is also a UK site you may want to use but I did not find the collection of the Tintin Cars so you may need to ask them.

Keep warm as here it has reached over 40degrees.
