I would like to sell ma collection of Tintin books in French. I have 11 of them and some are from 1947.

Moderator Note: Are you looking to sell them here, or are you just wanting advice on how to sell them? Either way, it would be helpful if you posted some details, such as the titles, condition, etc.

I'm looking to sell them and maybe somebody could help me with advice how to do it.
I live in Belgium and the books are in good condition. The titles are :

- Tintin en Amérique
- Le crabe aux pinces d'or (1960)
- Le secret de la licorne (1960)
- Le lotus bleu (1966)
- Tintin au Tibet (1966)
- L'étoile mystérieuse (1966)
- Le sceptre d'Ottokar (1966)
- Tintin et les picaros (1976)
- Tintin au pays de l'or noir (1971)
- L'oreille cassée(1966)
+ 1 book of the movie "Tintin et les oranges bleues" (1965)

Hi Jacqueline! Is the “Tintin en Amérique” the book from 1947 that you mention in your earlier post?

If no one here can help you with a guide to prices (although someone usually comes up with something), there is a publication, the BDM, which allows you to identify the edition of the album, and what it might be worth. If yo udon’t want to buy it, you might know someone who has a copy, or find it in a public library.

You could either then offer them for sale here (although largely we are English speakers, there are members in Belgium and on the continent too, and even some hardy souls from elsewhere who like to practice their French!), or look at putting them on eBay.fr - how does that sound?

I was wrong about the date of 1947, because it was the only date I found in the old books. I can not find any other date in the oldest books (the first 3 of the list), but I received them in the early 60's.
I'll try eBay, but I am not sure about the price to ask for them.

Thanks for your advice.

No problem! Well, if you can’t find a copy of the BDM, which would tell you estimated prices, eBay allows you to search for sales which have been completed; you could always look for the titles you have, and see what similar books have fetched.
