I'm reading Snowy character book by Michael Farr. Page 23 mentions "BR". I've googled it to find out what this acronym stands for, but no result. Anyone can help me? I think it refers to some kind of drink.

Without context it’s difficult to say…
The most common use for BR that I can think of is as an abbreviation of British Railways (sometimes British Rail), the company that operated British trains between 1948 and 1997, when the state sold off the system to private companies.

I’ve not got the Snowy book, but I do have Tintin and Cº, which may or may not be the same (I think it collects the smaller books) and that makes reference to the bit in Black Island where Snowy steals the roast chicken in the British Rail restaurant carriage, and then Mr. Farr mentions BR’s reputation for serving inedible food, and Snowy complaining that the bird is tough. That obviously wouldn’t be a reference to a drink, but sounds like what you are talking about, especially as he then goes on to say that Snowy enjoyed the whisky leaking from the tanker more than the chicken.
