Hey was just wondering if anyone knew how much the Coca Cola pins are worth?

When did you buy them and are you genuine.

Moderator Warning: There is absolutely no excuse for taking such an aggressive tone when posting to anither member, especially a new one, who has asked a perfectly acceptable and unexceptional question about merchandise.
Why not take a moment to welcome them to the forums, and find out more about their request? It certainly isn’t up to you to find out if they are “genuine” (whatever that means).

Consider this warning your third strike, and the team will now consider having your posts pre-moderated.

I bought them a couple of years ago in Spain, there are some pics in the link http://www.karl-david.com/tintin.htm half way down the page next to the McDonald's Blimps.
What do you mean am I genuine?

Moderator Note: Apologies for the somewhat brusque tone of number1fan’s post - you are most welcome to the forums, and have no reason to give any account of your “genuineness”…!

I was just wondering as I am a bit strapped for cash at the moment, just wondered if they were rare?

erm Jock I wasn't saying it in an aggressive tone.It was a short and simple question I ask if its genuine because I have seen loads of badges people would come in to the shop with them and they would be knock off's wasn't meaning to be threatening.Sorry for this.

Great badge website. Interesting stuff there especially one of the rocket ones .There are alot of Coca Cola ones I wasn't aware of this. Brilliant one with Tintin Snowy and Asterix

I’m sorry to disagree - it certainly isn’t a friendly one… You may not have intended it, but you came across as questioning the original poster’s integrity, which isn’t treating him with the respect for other members required by the rules.

You haven’t made this clear, because you don’t always punctuate your sentences; this it makes your posts harder to read, and the extra difficulty means it isn’t always possible to gauge your tone.
number1fan:

No, you didn’t - you asked if he was genuine (“are you genuine”). This can only be read as questioning him, not the origin of his badges.
It is good of you to apologize, however, and I accept that the offence was made accidentally, so we will hold fire on the pre-moderation for now, on the understanding that you will please take more care when posting.
If you check your spelling and punctuation, and read through your posts before sending to see that what you have written is what you actually wanted to say (and not something else, as here), then we won’t have to take any action at this time. If you continue to post with a disregard for the rules, we will have to reconsider.
