Belvision: Is there a "Prisoners of the Sun" Soundtrack?

Recently I've gotten a craving for Prisoners of the Sun, the 1969 Belvision big screen adaptation of Crystal Balls/ Prisoners and I'm intrigued by the music.
The Peruvian mountain train music especially, as it's quite enchanting to listen to.
Was there a soundtrack album and where was it released, and are there still copies of it today?

Yes, the soundtrack was released on record, both in French and in my native Swedish (and probably in other languages as well). The film premiered in Sweden in 1971, and that's also when that record was released. I suppose the French edition was released in 1969.

Apart from the incidental music by Francois Rauber (such as the main theme, heard during the train sequence), the record also contains the two beautiful tunes written especially for the film by Jacques Brel and - of course - most of the dialogue. That also means that most of the music are heard only in the background behind the voices like in the film itself. Only the Brel-songs are heard with no voice-over (again like in the film).

Thank you for the information, Mikael. That's good to hear that they may not have been limited release, so I'm going to hunt down the Brel tunes now. It would be nice if the Tintin shop had the records/albums as I've looked on there and there are no CDs aside from Mats Lindstrom.

It seems as if "Tintin au cinema" contains all the relevant music (including the songs by Jacques Brel) from the Tintin-movies (Golden Fleece, Blue Oranges, Prisoners of the Sun, Lake of Sharks) and also from the Nelvana TV-series. That picture from "Tintin in Congo" with Tintin carrying a film camera on the cover is most likely chosen just to illustrate the movie-connection.

So Tintin au Cinema has the soundtrack to every Tintin movie and N-E episodes? :D

Not complete soundtracks with all the dialogue, just (most of) the songs and musical themes.
