Tintin in Tibet: Does Tintin's relationship with Chang affect later books?

I've just finished reading the whole series and I found some things that caught my attention from Tibet.

At first glance it is clear that Tintin and Chang are very good friends, since Tintin would do anything to save him, just like we would do with our own friends. But when he finds him the relationship between them is something more than just friendship, it's as if Tintin saw Chang as his son, he is sad to see him leave to London, and I think he started thinking about family.

If you read Tintin next adventures you find he is reluctant to travel. In Castafiore Emerald he doesn't leaves Marlinspike, in Flight 714 he just plans to go to a conference in Sydney, but gets hijacked and in Picaros he just doesn't wants to go on adventures, but is forced to do so.

All those facts left me to think, what if he wanted to settle down? Find a wife and have kids, to have some kind of relationship like the one with Chang. This would explain why Martine has somewhat of a major role in Alph-Art. So what do you think?

Herge's relationship with Zhang Chongren (his Chinese friend) has a huge effect on the whole works of Herge in many ways. Instead of foretelling I found more interesting to think how the albums (events, chatacters, places ...) reflects Herge's life. What role plays Haddock, Tintin? What might the changes of the traits of characters of the characters reflect? Like you said Tintin has changed, and Haddock has changed during the albums as well.
