I didn't see this mentioned anywhere and I thought people would want to know that Tintin made a guest appearance on The CBS show The Amazing Race on Sunday.

If you're not familiar with the show, it features several teams of two people who are sent to on a trip around the world. At each stop they have several challenges they must overcome before arriving at that leg's finish line. The last team to arrive is eliminated from the race.

The last episode (which you can watch on CBS.com) started in Belgium. The contestants had to dress up as Thompson and Thomson and find Tintin to collect the clue for their next challenge.

Thanks for sharing. I thought it was amusing and a bit frustrating how the Americans didn't know who Tintin and the Thom(p)sons were. I noticed they were allowed to use the original French names, the Flemish names or the English names, which is good. I'm very surprised that some of the Belgians they asked didn't recognise who they were meant to be and who Tintin was.

In which version are Thomson & Thompson known as "Johnson & Johnson"? I would have asked Tintin, where Snowy was.

Johnson & Johnson? I presume they're the Flemish names for Dupond and Dupondt.

In Dutch they are "Jansen en Janssen", it's similar so they must have "Anglicized" it, since they're Americans, though as an American, I would think that's stupid. Either "Thomson & Thompson", "Dupond et Dupont" or "Jansen en Janssen" should be acceptable.

How realistic did 'Tintin' look!!
I did a double take, as I thought it was CGI motion capture for sure!!
Whoever the actor was is a dead ringer!

I agree, the Tintin looked like he stepped from the movie.
