Hey everybody.

I'm now starting to collect the entire Tintin sieres from Egmont(the newest publisher of the Tintin series) in hardcover(I only own one right now, the colour edition of "Tintin in the Congo").

Right now I'm looking for a hardcover edition of "Tintin and the Lake of Sharks". I haven't Had much success so far.

The only brand new hardcover editions of "Tintin and the Lake of Sharks" that I could find were from Little Brown.

I found some hardcover editions from Egmont on Amazon, but thay were used copies. Dos anybody out there now were I could find a brand new hardcover edition of "Tintin and the Lake of Sharks" from Egmont?

Thanks in advance.

I think you are working on a false assumption here: Egmont isn’t the newest publisher of Tintin – it’s the U.K. publisher of the books.

Little Brown are the current publishers for America, which is where your profile suggests you are, so it will be far easier for you to collect the albums from them, unless you want to import the Egmont books (which may be more expensive, I don’t know). Bear in mind that the content of the books will be the same, as the Little Brown books use the same translations as Egmont do.

The fact that your copy of Congo is from Egmont is probably down to the fact that Little Brown do not publish that book, due to the controversial nature of the content.

If I were you, I’d just buy the Little Brown books: the result will be the same, and should be easier to accomplish.

Other publishers publish the book. Strangely enough, it is easier to find the book than to find the movie, so you are searching for the right thing.

Only Little Brown and Egmont currently in English – unless you have an example that shows otherwise?

Again, that would depend on where you are – both have been very easy to find in the U.K. for example, where the book is carried in almost any shop which has the other albums, and the movie is out on DVD.

The Lake of Sharks movie has also just been released on iTunes for download, along with Prisoners and The Calculus Affair, so that perhaps makes it even easier to find than the book!
