Hi. I just have a quick question about The Blue Lotus.
In the original B&W edition, Tintin says he won't go to China until he knows the fakir from Cigars of the Pharaoh is back in custody, and later receives a telegram confirming this.
But in the colour edition, just Tintin goes anyway.
Does anybody know if the fakir escapes in the colour edition of The Blue Lotus?
Thanks in advance!

We don't know. In the colour edition, the Maharajah simply tells Tintin that the Fakir has escaped. His fate is not revealed in the rest of the series.

If Hergé intended to write more books after Alph-Art maybe he would have a story with the fakir? I don't think he was Endaddine Akass.

Balthazar's come up with an interesting theory on the fate of the fakir.
