Resin Tintin Models: The production runs?

Hello,

Firstly - allelujah! So much Tintin in one place!

To business; I have a Tintin resin collector’s piece which, on the website, states a production run of 3000. However, the card with the piece states it's 2011 run of 1500 pieces?! The price remains the same as it is today.

The made me a little frustrated as there are no markings on the actual model.

Using the site I learnt about the fake ones and whilst this is from a Tintin shop, I can't help feeling a little annoyed that there is no way for me to verify the accuracy/run of mine.

On my searches I found this -- Moderator Note: Content removed --. It looks like a really good fake bar Snowy being in the scene.

Can someone please tell me how I can verify the production run of my particular piece and whether they are actually limited?

I say the last point as with mine stated as a run of 1500 and yet they've run off either a new 2012 edition of 3000 (which would up circulation to 4500 pieces) or there is simply a very poor method of authenticating genuine limited run purchases? If one buys something 'limited' they buy on the understanding that when the supply is exhausted that no more will be made!

Anyway - sorry turned in to a bit of a soapbox moment - but only because these things are expensive and as fans it's hard to always afford them.
