Richard:
Hergé used a chap called Arsène Lemey for the colour books

Just came across this interesting lot, sold at auction in April 2022, for a page of Lemey hand-lettering, made for the initial run of Objectif Lune (Destination Moon) in Tintin magazine. It's even more interesting, as the story is one that Richard mentions as having inferior lettering in the book!
