As a long-term Tintin fan, my mother in law has been buying me the hardback multi-album editions as presents. She gave me volume 7 for my birthday in March.

Annoyingly there are printing errors on pages 88 and 90; there are areas with no colour.

I phoned Harper Collins who apologised and sent me another copy for free. Unfortunately this had the same error. I phoned again, got an apology and the was sent yet another copy.... with the same errors. This went on for a month. I received 4 new books all with the same errors. Although the publication year was the same, some were printed in Romania and others in Spain, so it looks like there is an error with the master rather than a fault with the printer.

After weeks of me phoning and complaining about yet another faulty book, Harper Collins ended up sending me a complete red box-set collection for free.... with no errors (these books were printed in China) :)

The person at customer services said that the whole batch of volume 7 had the error and would need to be pulped. They did not know when they would be re-printed.

If you have volume 7, it might be worth checking...
