Tintin wrist watch: limited edition 1996 by CITIME

This is number 62 of a series of 1500 made in 1996 by Citime. It is in stainless steel and has a line drawing of Tintin on the face, with a date window also. It comes in a hinged wooden box with TINTIN painted on the top. I bought this watch in 1996 in the UK and never wore it.

Is there any value attached to it, in terms of it's collectability ?

Well, there's one for sale on eBay at the moment here - is this the same as your's ? The price that it's listed at on eBay is not a guaranteed value, though, but as it seems to have cost around 250 euros to buy new, I'd say it'll increase in value, especially in unused condition.

And that is a very nice watch ...

In answer to your question Richard - the watch face is exactly the same as the one you found, but my strap is all steel links, not leather. It cost me about 300 pounds as i recall and it's just gathering dust in my basement. I love my TinTin books/comics and dominoes but am considering selling the watch since i figure someone else would enjoy it, and as you said, it's a nice watch - it should be enjoyed !

Thanks for the info

I also meant to say in my original post that the watch has an open heart in the back, where you can see the entire movement - it does not ever need winding, it is one of those mechanisms that gathers its energy from the movement you make as you wear it so no batteries ever.

I realize this post is very old, but I am hoping to find out more info on this watch.

Any idea how much it is worth?
