If I'm at the drawing board I usually listen to Radio 4 (UK), and this morning a Tintin reference came, unexpected, right out of the blue.
It was from a programme called 'Hairy Story' and was basically all about hair - where, why, what etc... and though I can't remember the exact quote, one interviewee said, I think referring to lack of hair being associated with intelligence and Alpha-Male types, "just look at all the professors that appear in Tintin, they're all bald!" (a paraphrase).
It's amazing where Tintin crops up. You can isten to the programme online if you want, though it's not really worth it for Tintin content!
